For the second time in six years, the Tennessee Department of Education has named Franklin Special School District as an Exemplary District, the highest possible designation. FSSD is one of only 12 districts across the state to be named an Exemplary District for the 2022-23 school year.
The Franklin Special School District (FSSD) is proud to announce that beginning January 8, every Monday FSSD schools will be serving grass-fed beef hamburgers. This new offering is part of the district's commitment to providing healthy, high-quality meals to its students.
If you are new to the area, thinking of moving, considering a school change, or just want to see for yourself the amazing programs your FSSD public schools offer, come by any of our schools for a special Open House throughout the day on Friday, January 26th.
The Franklin Special School District Board of Education approved the district goals that were set based on stakeholder feedback as part of the state funding formula requirements. As part of the Tennessee Investment in Student Achievement (TISA) public school funding formula, each school district must submit an annual accountability report.
