The StoryBus will again hit the streets and parking lots of Franklin this summer as part of FSSD’s community outreach designed to foster a love for reading in children ages 4 through the 4th grade (younger if accompanied by an adult).
In 2023, 70% of Franklin Special School District third graders scored proficient or above on the TCAP English language arts (ELA), as compared to the state average of 40% proficient. This represents a 14% increase in scoring over last year!
The 2023 FSSD summer food service program kicks off Tuesday, May 30, and runs through Friday, July 21, with the FSSD Food and Culinary Services Department offering free breakfast and/or lunch to anyone in the community 18 years old or younger.
The FSSD has a new tool available to students on their Clever dashboard called the Student Safety Report, where they can report any safety concerns with the option to remain anonymous.
