Positive Behavior Program

Bloomsights is an online communication tool that helps bridge the gap between what students are feeling and what educators can see. By giving our students a structured, private way to share their experiences, Poplar Grove gains meaningful insight into how students are doing socially, emotionally, and behaviorally so that our school can take action with clarity and care.

This is a program developed to pair our students with staff in the building who can help to motivate them to reach their academic and behavioral goals using a point system. It’s successful because of the accountability, but more importantly because of the relationship building done between staff and students!

PGES utilizes a variety of positive reinforcements across grade levels to encourage students to work hard, follow PGS expectations, and show kindness. The PBIS committee meets regularly to plan fun and meaningful ways for students to be recognized for their positive choices throughout the year. Examples of positive reinforcements may be Pride Time awards, classroom specific incentives, and grade level rewards offered throughout the school year.

Throughout the building you will find mentors who are intentionally paired with students to help encourage them and support them throughout the school year.
